Call & response

Care Center Overview

Link your patients

nurse3.jpg

All patients in the facility are linked to a device. Either the bed-side button or the wireless wearable. If they push either you know exactly who they are and which ward or location they are in.

Empower your nurses

All care staff are registered on the system. As they arrive on shift they are either automatically clocked in with their wireless button or using the software.

Be Alerted

When a patient pushes the button or a fall is detected on the wearable device, multiple alerts are created. Visual and audio alerts as well as alerts to the nursing console and linked mobile devices.

Administer Care

The responding care worker administers the necessary care to the patient. After care has been delivered the BeSecure system is updated using a simple drop down menu to indicate what the reason for the call was.
The call is logged with all information for review at any time.

Patients

  • All patients are registered on the system for ease of reporting.

  • In addition to the Ward and bed that the patient occupies the system is able to store the date of admission and departure for each patient adding further insight to the reports.

  • The full history of each patient’s activities while in the facility are stored and available for review using the reports.

Nursing Administrators

  • All Care Staff are quickly and easily added to the system.

  • Each Care worker is loaded with their qualification and date that they started at the facility.

  • When a nurse starts the shift they are either clocked in automatically using their allocated wireless acknowledgement button or using the software.

  • As care staff go about their day addressing call requests and fulfilling registered tasks their activity is automatically logged and available in the reports.

  • Additionally it is possible to see hours worked on shift by care worker, by designation.

Reporting

  • A care center is an emotionally charged environment where opinions and anger can, on occasion, over shadow facts. The BeSecure reports deliver the facts quickly and accurately allowing fact based discussion that quickly reduces emotion.

  • Reports can be quickly filtered by patient, care worker, care reason or event type further assisting in establishing quick value from them.

  • All reports are online and available remotely or at the care center.

  • All reports can be exported to Excel for further analysis if required.

Patient Call Response Flow

  1. Patients may request assistance by either pressing the bedside bell press or by pressing the button on their wearable.

    1. The bedside indicator makes it easy to identify the patient in multi-bed wards.

    2. The wearable may be pressed anywhere within the frail care facility and location based tracking allows care staff to identify the location of the patient.

  2. In either case, a ward controller will flash its colour coded indicator that specifies whether a call is new or is already being attended to.

  3. Each care worker has a wearable, and when responding, the care worker presses their wearable button.

  4. Using location tracking, the BeSecure system will automatically associate the patient with the responding care worker.
